How does Switch 3D work?

Switch 3D provides professional 3D models with a 24-hour turnaround. This is how it works:
    1. Book a call with us to discuss the products you want to be 3D modeled. We need to verify that our scanning technology can support them.
    2. Ship us your products. We'll schedule your shoot once we receive your package.
    3. During your shoot, we'll use our proprietary scanning technology to create photorealistic 3D models of your products.
    4. We'll deliver your edited 3D models 24 hours after your shoot.
    5. Drag and drop your 3D models into Shopify. They're optimized to look great and to load quickly.

How does pricing work?

Our pricing is simple. 3D models, including standard editing, are $96 each. You can add professional editing from one of our skilled 3D designers for $99 per 3D model.
 
You will be responsible for the fees associated with shipping your products to and from our scanning facility.

How does your free trial work?

Your first 3D model with Switch 3D is FREE! You'll just be responsible for the shipping fees to and from our scanning facility.

How does shipping work?

After we've verified that your products will work with our scanning technology, we'll provide you with the shipping address of our scanning facility.
 
Ship us your products and we'll schedule a shoot once we receive your package. Don't forget to send us a return label so we can ship your products back to you after your shoot.

What products can you scan?

Switch 3D uses cutting-edge technology to create photorealistic 3D models. Unfortunately, this comes with limitations and our technology does not work with all products.
 
Our technology works best with products that have a lot of details, colors, or textures. It does not work well with products that are highly reflective, transparent or made up of a single, solid color. Our process currently can accommodate products with a maximum size of 24 x 24 x 24 inches (L x W x H) and a maximum weight of 35 pounds.

Does my Shopify theme support 3D and AR?

In order to display 3D models, your Shopify theme must support rich media. Most themes in the Shopify Theme Store support rich media as of January 2020, but if you have an older theme, you may need to update it. You can test your store's theme by downloading a free 3D model and seeing if it works. Simply drag and drop your 3D model into the media card of one of your products and see if your theme displays it correctly.

Am I required to join the shoot?

No, you don't have to worry about participating in the shoot. We'll notify you as soon as your 3D models are ready to share.

When am I billed?

Once we receive your products in our scanning facility, we will send you an invoice and schedule your shoot. Invoices must be paid in full prior to your shoot.

What currency am I billed in?

You will be billed in $USD regardless of where your business is located.
